It’s been a busy first half to 2024 at Adapt Commercial Property with market sentiment in Glasgow improving and increasing levels of occupier demand.

Q2 Glasgow City Centre office take-up totalled 121,516 sq ft across 56 lettings.

Adapt Commercial Property continue to be in the thick of commercial activity in Glasgow, transacting on a total of over 70,000 sq ft within Q2. This included two of the five largest transactions recorded over 5,000 sq ft in Glasgow City Centre with the largest letting in the city at 177 Bothwell Street and three off-market transactions which were particularly rewarding.

The trend continues of occupiers focused on good quality, well presented space. Return to office rates are on the up with Glasgow City Centre footfall levels rising noticeably too.

Businesses are now reacting to reset their workplace strategy to create offices fit for future working. We continue to offer our occupier clients strategic advisory services to identify the perfect solution to meet their bespoke requirements.

As we settle into our own new office at McLellan Works, it’s fantastic to experience an environment which is so bustling and collaborative.

The new Hinba lobby cafe, Sprigg and Black Sheep Coffee within the development provide first class pitstops. Smile Cafe and old favourite Sarti’s are of course within easy reach too.

Chatting regularly to business owners, they are experiencing strong turnover levels with peak time surges as customers wait patiently for quality options. The Glasgow buzz is returning.

The positive signs are all there for a strong second half to 2024. We are excited to work on new projects and meet clients of old and new.
